in-innovative navigation GmbH was\u00a0<\/span>contracted<\/span>\u00a0by the Agency for Inland\u00a0Waterway Traffic Technology<\/span><\/span>\u00a0(<\/span>ABVT<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>Amt f\u00fcr Binnen-Verkehrstechnik<\/span> <\/span><\/strong><\/a>)<\/span><\/span>\u00a0of the Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>(WSV<\/a><\/strong><\/span>,\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/a>Wasserstra\u00dfen<\/span>– und\u00a0Schifffahrtsverwaltung<\/span>\u00a0des\u00a0Bundes<\/span><\/strong><\/a>) <\/span><\/span>with a central modernisation project in the field of digital maritime traffic technology<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The existing\u00a0<\/span><\/span>server infrastructure\u00a0<\/span>of the AIS system in<\/span>\u00a0inland waterways<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>will be comprehensively upgraded and adapted to current technical requirements. The inland AIS system forms an essential basis for\u00a0<\/span>shore-based<\/span>\u00a0traffic detection, traffic\u00a0<\/span>monitoring<\/span>\u00a0and navigation on federal waterways, supporting applications such as fairway and traffic information services, traffic\u00a0<\/span>management<\/span>\u00a0and safety-<\/span>related<\/span>\u00a0services for collision avoidance.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0<\/span>aim<\/span>\u00a0of the newly\u00a0<\/span>contracted<\/span>\u00a0measures is the long-term further development of traffic\u00a0<\/span>technical<\/span>\u00a0systems for inland waterways,\u00a0<\/span>as envisioned\u00a0<\/span>in the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Traffic Technology Strategy 2030<\/span>\u00a0of the Federal Ministry\u00a0of\u00a0Transport<\/span> (<\/span>BMV<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>Bundesministerium<\/span>\u00a0f\u00fcr Verkehr<\/span><\/strong><\/a>)<\/span><\/span>. The project aims to sustainably secure and strengthen the availability,\u00a0<\/span>integrity<\/span>\u00a0and flexibility of the AIS system and to create a solid foundation for future digital applications.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The scope of services includes, among other things, the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>migration<\/strong>, configuration<\/strong> and software upgrade<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0of regional and central AIS servers,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>system integration<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, as well as\u00a0<\/span><\/span>on-site installation and commissioning<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
